Information Notice on Travel Agencies and Individual Applicants

According to the official announcement of the Consulates General of Greece in Russia, all individuals entering Greece (having been vaccinated or not), including children 12 years old and above, before boarding, must present either (a) a negative molecular COVID-19 (using the PCR method) test result in Russian and in English language, carried out in a medical laboratory,  within the last 72 hours prior to arrival to Greece and containing the passenger’s name, surname and travel document number (passport number); or (b) a negative rapid test result in Russian and in English language, performed within the last 48 hours prior to arrival to Greece and containing the passenger’s name, surname and travel document (passport number). Additionally, all individuals must fill out their Passenger Locator Form (PLF) online within the last 48 hours before entering the country. For more information regarding the PLF please click here. Travelers will undergo another test (PCR or rapid) upon their arrival in Greece. The below documents should be submitted before boarding:

  • hotel reservation (or other relevant documents confirming the place of temporary residence in Greece);
  • confirmation of permanent residence in the Russian Federation (for those who do not have Russian passports);
  • a return ticket and
  • travel insurance.

Please be advised that when you submit an application at the Visa Application Center for Greece, you will be asked to sign an important notice regarding travel restrictions and limitations when entering and traveling into the Schengen area (Document).

Visa Application Centers for Greece are operating in Moscow, Novorossiysk, St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Arkhangelsk, Kazan, Krasnodar, Murmansk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Petrozavodsk, Pskov, Rostov-on-Don, Voronezh, Pyatigorsk, Saratov, Kaliningrad, Ufa, Omsk and Samara. The VACs for Greece accept only applicants that have booked an appointment online. You can book your appointment here.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Following the local Authorities’ recent regulations, applicants can visit the Visa Application Centers in Krasnodar, Novorossiysk and Voronezh only showing a valid QR code or a negative PCR test performed in the last 72 hours and the VAC in St. Petersburg only showing a valid QR code. Children under 18 years old are exempted of this regulation.

The Visa Application Center in Moscow accepts also applicants upon appointment from 16:00pm until 18:00pm under “Prime Time Service” at an additional cost of 35€ per application. In order to book an appointment, please contact us at 8 (499) 703 3862 from 09:00 until 18:00 (Monday-Friday) or contact us via e-mail: info.rugr.mow@gvc24assist.eu.

As operations at the above Visa Application Centers for Greece resume, our VACs adhere to the highest standards of health and safety based on the recommendations of the World Health Organization and local health authorities: to this end, you will need to self-disclose COVID-19 symptoms, to undergo temperature screening at the entrance of the VAC using non-contact equipment, to wear appropriate mask and be checked contactless by the security service of the VAC. In case you have any symptoms of COVID-19, please, DO NOT visit our VAC. Applicants without mask and applicants with a temperature above 37 degrees Celsius will not be allowed to enter the premises. As the VAC cannot be crowded, you may be asked to wait outside the VAC. While waiting inside, please keep social distance of 2 meters vis-à-vis others. Please note that your appointment slot will be rescheduled to a later date in case you have any COVID-19 symptoms. We suggest you prepare your application and all necessary documents in advance (click here for more information) to avoid waiting time at the VAC and make your payment at the VAC by credit card.

Protecting the health of the applicants and our employees during these testing times of the pandemic is of utmost importance. We are following the recommendations of the Health and Governmental authorities and have put in place best practices to minimize the possible exposure of applicants and employees to the coronavirus. In order to avoid a return to the VAC, the passport return for applicants that have submitted their applications in Moscow VAC is only via the courier service at an additional cost that will be kept to the minimum. Applicants in all other Visa Application Centers in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novorossiysk Jurisdictions are also highly recommended to have their passports returned via the courier service.
